Who or what helped you PERSIST through college?

“I found a tribe! My mom worked in the Honor’s Program anf I stayed close with the girls who stayed in the same dorm as me and girls on my dance team. they all made my time at Spelman very special.”

What are you most proud of as a college alumni?

“The things I learned there that helped turn me into the woman I am today.”


Advice for First Generation students?

Stay focused on what really matters. Set goals and prioritize them. College is an easy place to ger distracted.
