Juan Escamilla Vargas is a College Persistence Coach at Persist Coaching and a recent graduate of Belmont University, where he studied Education Policy and minored in History as part of the Global Honors program.

As a former Persist student, Juan brings a unique perspective to his role and understands firsthand the impact a supportive coach can have on a student’s postsecondary journey. He is passionate about building meaningful relationships with students and helping them feel supported, connected, and confident as they work toward their goals.

Outside of work, Juan enjoys ultimate frisbee, chess, and listening to Paramore.
